Open Day @ Shireland Collegiate Academy

Shireland Collegiate Academy hosted an open day yesterday at their school in Sandwell. Attendees were provided with a tour of the academy and an opportunity to see how ICT has made a difference to educating at a modern academy.

The introduction was provided by their Executive Principal Sir Mark Grundy, who has worked to raise standards for both his schools (Shireland and George Salter Collegiate Academies) in Sandwell.

George Faux, a school improvement consultant and a member of Sir Mark’s management team then provided an in depth look at the SchoolIP suite of school improvement tools. George explained how the changes had been adopted within the academy and the dramatic impact it has had with streamlining their Self Evaluation Form, School Improvement Plan and Staff Performance Monitoring.

In summary a very informative day spent discussing the success of using ICT within a modern education establishment.
